I had been there before—the sound barrier wall that is meant to reduce the noise from the motorway in my neighborhood.
It offers a surreal stretch of walking path, a place where you can imagine yourself in another time.

The wooden hut in the thicket was still there, bearing signs of occasional vandalism. Here and there, traces of cigarette butts hinted at temporary visitors.
