When I was a child, I believed you could catch the moon.
Just in a small jar, with the lid screwed on tight.
Maybe I could keep her there,
and finally see the side that always remained hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wondered:
if I gently shook the jar,
would she shine more brightly?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now I know that isn\u2019t possible.
Some things cannot be captured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What I do know now, and didn\u2019t know then,
is that hiding your emotions
dims your inner light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As if you locked away your own moon
in a jar with the lid screwed on too tightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my imagination, I slowly unscrew the lid\u2026
and let the light breathe again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
