Wise men, passers-by\u2014even monks\u2014kept pointing me in some direction. The answer, they said, lay somewhere high or just beyond the horizon. Some simply shrugged, while others casually pointed to their own hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In every mirror I looked into, I saw a change\u2014but no clear difference.<br>From the soles of my feet to the crown of my head, the answer to who I was remained always the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One day, on a beach, I drew a circle around myself with a stick.<br>Suddenly, everything came together.
