Leaf blowers, weed trimmers—they’re the kind of machines that make a lot of noise, up to 85 decibels. You can’t really blame the municipal gardeners; in fact, I feel a bit sorry for them, having that shrill racket in their ears all day long.
In my neighborhood they can be annoying, but the greenery does look better after they’ve been through. In the meantime, I quickly put on my headphones with some music to reduce the nuisance.
