Every day we are confronted with images of inequality, hatred, war and human suffering. Expressions of Us and them, cast in frustration, of powerlessness. The ever-growing gap between the rich and the poor. It is those stimuli that weigh on your mind, accusing you of ‘burying your head in the sand’. Everything is emotion but dehumanization is the greatest danger, it incites irreconcilable hatred. It is the barbed wire of our differences because humanity is apparently good at creating boundaries but also so often crossing them.
